Utility Mobile Apps from Government of Pakistan & Its Departments

E-Government is future of how Governments will run and how it will interact with general public. It’s a only way forward for any Government to restructure their departments around information technology. Government of Pakistan is trying to cope with latest IT trends by introducing state of the art mobile apps and portals to facilitate swift services and ensure informed public.

Here is list of mobile apps, which can be helpful for day to day interaction of citizens of Pakistan; including apps for information purposes and for more advanced and complex purposes like filing of tax returns, smart ticket booking etc.

Pakistan Railways Official

A comprehensive step by Pakistan Railways, to integrate ticket reservations instantly with online payment options. Customer can search & book tickets with intelligent seat plan along with schedules.

PIA App

Another useful app with intention to decrease hassle for airline ticketing and booking. Now consumer can check flight schedules, flight status, book tickets and make complain or take information from customer representatives.

Supreme Court of Pakistan

Very useful step by SCP to ensure swift status of cases & proceedings to its user.  It gives information about online case search, online Judgment search, Latest judgments, roster of sittings, latest news and Updates.

Motorway Humsafar

To ensure safe and swift journey, this app inform user about motorway running status, provide real time help and information.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)

Information based comprehensive app, explaining and giving links to all taxation laws prevalent under FBR regime. You can access latest notes, notifications and publications too.

Tax Asaan

A user friendly consolidated app for salaried taxpayer. Currently including, Income Tax Return Filing (Salaried & Normal Return), income tax registration/ signup, sales tax registration, online verification services (ATL, Profile Inquiry, Exemptions/Notices/Orders and more), e-Payment (Income Tax, Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty), withholding deduction(s) data etc. You can find video tutorial for usage, registration and filing here.

Device Verification Systems (DVS)

A simple and to the point app integrated with PTA database to give user device compliance status. Just put IMEI and check whether your device is compliant, non compliant or blocked.

NADRA App

Another approach towards customer facilitation with following features: User can search of NADRA’s office through City, Name or Location their timings, can make instant call to the selected NADRA’s office, notes postal address of the NADRA’s office location, send email or SMS containing NADRA’s office details

WeBOC

To ensure paperless goods declaration system, Pakistan customs introduced Weboc App in which user can easily check GD status using GD or BL number, also enables user to retrieve the status of vessel. Further you can check container off loading status and all the updated tariff, exemption and conditions. User can also find updated valuation rulings and guidelines.

Pakistan Post

This app allows customers to track their article, check delivery and route track of shipment. Also consumer can register complain, check location of nearest post offices, check tariff & rates along with post codes.

Zainab Alert

Lunched by Ministry of Human Rights, on 15^th October, 2020. Alert unifies and strengthens efforts to track and trace missing children and child abuse cases. This will activate state machinery for relevant region and district level. Through integration with Pakistan Citizen’s Portal It will immediately available to 2.9 million registered users.

EIMS

Educational Institutes monitoring system is to track the spread of Covid-19. With the help of this system we can track the monitor specific areas of the spread which would allow us to effectively impose the Smart Lock Down. Proposes to provide essential information in conducting regular testing and vaccinating in the future, this would also allow containing the spread and closing certain educational institutes which show positive results.

Pak Neghayban

NCOC established this app to access the availability of beds & vents in hospitals. 1100+ hospitals linked with this app to give availability information all across the country.

Baytee

Act as a consolidated portal that will provide advocacy on women rights, disseminate information on laws and regulations, search women-focused education schools, scholarships, training opportunities, job portal, health services, helpline, etc. Simply purposed to empower and inform women of Pakistan.

COVID-19 Gov PK

For latest information & updates related to Corona cases in the country. It provides awareness to citizens about all the actions to be taken for the prevention of Coronavirus. Presenting live Corona updates & cases status along with WHO videos and hand wash clock.   

Kamyab Jawan

Envision to empower youth. App to give youth of Pakistan procedural guidance for business and startup loan, with subsidized rates and stipulations. Also aim to reduce poverty and unemployment.
